PATTERNS/PATTERN MAKING

Ashasekay--Was/Is? an SL Resident and has many helpful tutorials including ones on beginning blender. Be sure to check out her YouTube page. This tutorial uses Gimp, which you can download for free at... http://www.gimp.org/

EZHexgon--Has quite a few videos on YouTube using MD2.  He also has videos how to convert the Tris to Quads using ZBrush.  Very useful information for those new to MD.

Wolfie--I am not familiar with this gentleman but believe he has been involved with MD for some time.  This is an excellent beginning tutorial using patterns to create clothing.  He is using MD 2 so some of the functions are a bit different.  He also uses Photoshop.  On the plus side, you can download the entire video set to your desktop to watch at your convenience!  Thank you, Wolfie!

CLOTHING TUTORIALS

Lori Griffiths--I ran across this video looking for something else.  At first, I wasn't going to watch it because it dealt with real world sewing.  But what caught my eye was she was using Marvelous Designer 2 (I think that is her version) to demonstrate her techniques.  I learned several things that I found quite helpful in constructing clothing in MD.  I hope you do as well.

FREE PATTERN RESOURCES

You will need to browse these sites. Not all of these sites have tons of free patterns but may have a few you can use for tracing.

MISCELLANEOUS

Fianna Idora--Is a Second Life Creator, who is also a Ditko University student.  She has been kind enough to post a video on her workflow of converting tris to quads, which as of this April 6th, 2014 writing is something MD and Blender 2.70 are incapable of doing. Having quads simply makes rigging and weight painting much easier to deal with.

Haven Ditko--Ditko University Blog--Haven is a long time Second Life Resident bent on teaching SL Residents Blender, Photoshop, Gimp, and Marvelous Designer.

Her blog features several video tutorials on the aforementioned subjects. She also has some files that are very useful to Second Life Marvelous Designer Users.

Morgaine Christensen--I have Pinterest Boards which offers information on Blender, Marvelous Designer, and Photoshop. I often "pin" links that don't make it to the blog, which is a bit lazy of me but at least the information is available if you are wiling to look.
