MARVELOUS DESIGNER TO ZBRUSH TO BLENDER WORKFLOW

Image
Hot off the press!

We have some really great contributors from Second Life willing to share  what they know and how they do things.  One of the students from Ditko University has created a workflow video showing how to make a simple skirt in Mavelous Designer, remesh it to quads in ZBrush, export the item for use in Blender.

If you are like me I cannot afford Maya, ZBrush is closer to something I can afford by scrimping and saving up for something that might be helpful to me in my creative processes for Second Life.  Be sure you watch this video, I found it very useful.

Please be sure to LIKE this wonderful contribution by Fianna after watching it on YouTube! Let her know her work is greatly appreciated and we wait for MORE of her great work.

Also, if interested in learning Blender, Maya, or Marvelous Designer along with other classes, such as Gimp and Photoshop, please check out the classes In-World.

THE GOOSEBERRY PROJECT

Image
I like to keep everyone informed of new happenings.  Here is something I think worthwhile for Blender Users, especially for Second Life Blenders Users.

This was brought to my attention by Gaia Clary, who we all know and love for making Jass, Primstar, and Avastar.  Without her hard work, many of us would be still using prims to build in SL.  She has spent countless hours working hard to assist all of us learn Blender by taking take out some of the tedium working with Blender for our SL projects.

Here is what Gaia has to say about the projects....

Project "Gooseberry" is the new Blender movie project for making a full length animation film (90 minutes) entirely with Blender and other open source tools:

This project will certainly improve blender. And on top of this we (the blender community) will get a seriously made Blender Community Movie (made by 60-80 people from 12 indie studios within 18 months)... Ready for Popcorn ? Then go and support …
