Week of July 28, 2013 - August 3, 2013

First week of classes starts this week!


The class schedule is currently rather light, but given time, more will be offered. Keep checking back at Ditko University, the various blogs and communication resources, including blogs for updates.

PLEASE READ the class descriptions carefully.  Follow the instructions listed. Some classes have prerequisites that need to be followed.

 Blender Basics Series Week 1
Wednesday

Blender is  free 3D modeling program. It is used to make mesh and sculpts for SL ( among other things)

We will learn all about the interface, preferences and how to manipulate our objects and mesh

This class is  to learn Blender, not to just learn one function, tool or project. This is a serious course for those that wish to really understand and use it.


  • You must have Blender 2.68 installed on your computer before class begins.

This class will last a number of weeks, it is not a one time session. Each week we will make our way further and further through the program.

Prerequisite: Blender Basics

Lets learn to actually draw out what we want blender to create mesh for.

Lets see how edge loops and curves hide within the  strokes of the grease pencil

There is a GREAT tool in  blender, and recently it has become more versatile and amazing.

In session 101 we will explore the first of many techniques that this tool is able to accomplish. flat simple surfaces. This will be the foundation class for the rest of them in this series

  • You must have Blender 2.68 installed on your computer before class begins. 
  • You must know the basic navigation of Blender to take this class.  
  • This is NOT a Beginner's Basic Blender class

  • Length:    90 minutes
